I are glad to have rabbihorowitz.com up and running again.
On Monday at 10:36 AM, our site was a victim of an automated SQL injection virus attack, as were millions of other active sites. This is a technique that exploits a security vulnerability occurring in the database layer of an application with the intention of secretly redirecting the users to hidden locations that could infect their computers with viruses. Although, we have invested many hours and dollars to prevent such attacks, (hundreds of previous unsuccessful attempts have been made on our site and thwarted), the bad guys won this time and we had to take down our site to prevent infection of our user’s desktops.
Boruch Hashem, we have patched the “hole” and I am actively involved in looking for other potential vulnerabilities, to prevent this from happening again. Our site was “rolled-back” to Sundays backup, so some of your comments may be missing. I apologize for the interruption of service.
