Dear Readers:

As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, and our concerns shift to summer parenting mode, I would like to make available to you the link for a radio interview I gave last week to The Jewish Star on two summer-related topics -- having "The Talk" with your children before sending them to camp, and seeing to it that your teenage children in the Catskills have proper supervision.

Below are links to two columns I wrote in 2007 about the goings-on, that were taking place even back then in the Catskills. If you have teenagers in "the mountains" for the summer, I suggest that you read them.

I hope you find the radio interview and columns helpful.

and

1:00 a.m. One Week Later

I am delighted to share with you, that with the help and encouragement of my staff at Project YES, I will be conducting a webinar (live internet seminar) this Thursday evening, June 10th at 10:00 p.m. as the first in a two-part series on “Parenting Matters.” Thursday evening’s topic will deal with having “The Talk” about personal space, before your child leaves for camp. Registrants will be able to submit questions in advance and from the comfort of your homes, wherever you happen to be -- anywhere in the world, also participate during the webinar via a live chat feature.

There are only a few slots remaining. To register, please email immediately ProjectYES@pyes.org or call our office at (718)256-5360 ext. 209 to receive your login information and full instructions. For those unable to participate, we plan to post a download of the webinar on this website.

The second webinar will take place the following week, Thursday evening, June 17th at 10:00 p.m. discussing “The Art of the Deal – Effective Negotiations with your Teen.” There are limited slots available for this presentation as well.

Looking forward to discussing these important parenting topics with you via the wonders of modern technology,

Yakov
