Help Your Children Succeed by Improving

Their Hebrew Language Skills

As Jewish parents and educators worldwide prepare for the coming school year, we encourage you to reflect upon what you can do to improve your children’s Hebrew language skills which are so critical for their success in their limudei kodesh learning.

Thirty years of experience in education have led me to the inescapable conclusion that failure to attain rudimentary Hebrew language skills is by far and away the greatest educational reason kids don’t succeed in school. (Here are links to two columns: It Doesn't Start in Tenth Grade and Training Wheels which I ran in Mishpacha magazine about the importance of acquiring language skills.)

To assist parents and educators in imparting these skills, we created the Bright Beginnings Chumash Workbook .

Here is a link to a free 11-page sample of the workbook and a Video which explains the educational philosophy that drives Bright Beginnings as well as explaining the features of the chumash workbook.

The initial workbook, which can be purchased here, covers the first two Perakim in Lech Lecha and the second volume on the remainder of Lech Lecha is in the final stage of production, and we hope to have it available to the public this winter.

We are working on exciting digital and audio-visual support materials for these workbooks as well as a Bright Beginning Gemara series – a 70-lesson program which will introduce talmidim to the world of gemara carefully and methodically over a period of five months.

In order to keep the costs of these learning tools manageable for parents, we count on financial support from individuals who share our vision of creating a new generation of innovative educational materials for children.

We were fortunate to secure gifts for the dedication of the first two volumes of our chumash series, and we would very much appreciate the support of our work from our readers.

Gifts of any amount are most certainly helpful and there are dedication opportunities available for print and digital content of the chumash and gemara projects. For more information on dedication opportunities, kindly email me at yhprojectyes@gmail.com, and you can help support our work by clicking on this secure Paypal Link or by mailing a tax-deductible check payable to Bright Beginnings to

It is our hope and tefilah that these educational materials will help our sons and daughters with their limudim and have them develop the skills to become lifelong educated and inspired learners.
