YDN Middle School Schmuez

Parshas She’lach 5773

This week's Friday Schmuez on Parshas She’lach to our middle school talmidim was about drawing chizuk (encouragement or inner strength) as we face the vicissitudes of life.

Yehoshua and Calev drew their chizuk from different sources -- teaching us by example that what inspires one person often does not work for another.

Rebbi Nachman of Breslov offers a creative insight into Moshe's words -- teaching us all to draw inspiration from the earth's plants and the fact that their messy and complicated growth process results in beautiful fruits. (FYI, our students and their parents spent this past Sunday planting seeds in our school garden -- which offered a teachable moment for this week's Schmuez).

Hope you find this meaningful.

Best wishes for a Gutten Shabbos,

Yakov
