School Description:
Ora Academy, Upstate New York's High School for girls has been in existence for 12 years and is now an affiliate of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Kew Gardens Hills, N.Y. and is under the hadracha of Rabbi Akiva Grunblatt and Rabbi Dovid Harris.
Ora Academy offers a comprehensive educational program, with the advantage of being a small school in a welcoming community. This is ideal for a girl who wants to succeed academically, get personalized attention, live away from home in a warm nurturing environment, and enjoy the same type of Torah chinuch she would have had in a much larger institution. Ora attracts students from the Rochester area as well as from a variety of cities in the United States and Canada. Out-of-town students board with experienced host families.
Ora Academy is a four year program with excellence in both Limudei Kodesh and Secular Studies. The Limudei Kodesh Classes are tracked by level of mastery in order to meet the needs of all students. The secular studies curriculum meets and exceeds the state requirements for graduation and is certified by the New York State Board of Regents. Advanced Placement classes are offered accordingly.
Comments:
Ora Academy has been successful in inspiring its students to strive for excellence and reach their potential, appreciate the beauty of Torah, and want to grow in their midos and yiras shomayim. The majority of its graduating students continue their education in Eretz Yisrael seminaries.
