It is for students who have difficulty keeping up with school, either they are capable yet need motivation, or they are weaker. They are very successful with many. Students usually maintain a close relationship with the teachers, even years later. School tries to help place students in camps, yeshivos, help them get summer jobs…The Yeshiva is geared to Bochurim who HAVE NOTbeen in any sort of trouble regarding Frumkeit issues or their social issues. The Yeshiva is geared to service Bochurim who have not been successful in the "Main Stream" Yeshivos. Either due to the fact that they are challenged somewhat in their learning skills or have difficulty sitting still etc. Rabbi Fuerst reports that they have had a great degree of success with the Talmidim which they have serviced having them transfer from their program to other Yeshivos. The Talmidim are able to tranfer the credits which they have accrued to USA high schools and therby continue their education. Most Bochurim end up staying in the program for 2 years and then transfering Bochurim are taken once @ week for swimming and at present once @ week to go bowling. When the weatger permits they are taken to parks as well. The Yeshiva is located in close proximity to a local Mainstream Mesivta which therefor offers the boys the possibility of having interaction with bachurim that are able to give them assistance in their learning, Kollel yungeleit are also available to be of assistance. Shabbosos are spent with the host families which are arranged by the Hanhala.
