Rabbi Mordechai Lurie founded Yeshivas Ateres, a unique Bais Medrash/ career program for young men (17-23) that function better in smaller, more nurturing surroundings. Based in Baltimore the Yeshiva caters to young men from throughout the U.S., Canada, and overseas who seek more tools, attention, encouragement, and guidance than the larger mainstream yeshivos typically are in a position to provide. They have found this innovative model just right for them.
A particularly compelling feature of the Yeshiva is its state chartered degree- granting status and career programs.
Graduates of Yeshivas Yeshivas Ateres can receive an Associates or Bachelors degree in Judaic Studies. Coupled with Yeshiva learning are career programs, including property restoration & real estate management, trades apprenticeships, CLEP classes and advanced computer training. These career programs are designed to prepare the students to live productive Torah lives.
Although Yeshivas Ateres facilitates and supports excellent career programs, the true heartbeat of the Yeshiva is the bais medrash and the supportive learning experiences that it provides. Yeshivas Ateres is authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant students.
Learning takes place in small groups with no more than 5 talmidim to a rebbe.
